On a trail directory route, you may see a Trail Legend, and a Peak Legend on peaks. This is the person who has completed that specific trail, or bagged that particular peak the most number of times in the last 12 months.
This is calculated based on the Strava or Garmin data we receive for each runner, so you must have your Strava or Garmin account connected to your dashboard, and run the route correctly.
Note, that you must be a VIP member, with your account visible to become a trail legend.
You can view your current Trail and Peak Legends in your dashboard, here.
Opting out of Trail Legends
If you do not wish to appear as a local legend for a trail, you can toggle your account visibility to private within your dashboard settings.
If you do not wish to receive email notifications when you become or lose a Trail or Peak Legend status, you can turn them off within your notification settings.
